You can type anything into the search box and Freedom will try and locate based on the most likely outcome. For example typing in:

0410555555 will automatically search mobile phone numbers - any number starting with 04 will default to a mobile number search.

0255551111 will automatically search phone numbers - any number starting with 0 but not 04 will result in a normal phone number search.

bill@microsoft.com will automatically search email addresses - any text that contains a @ will result in a email address search.

smith in listings, appraisals, past sales, inspections and properties will search both owner name and address for the any match of smith. In buyers and contacts it just searches on name.

<500000 in listings will search for all listings with an asking price of $500,000 or less. This is equavalent to <500 as the thousands is assumed. <1.3 means less than $1.3 million.

>500000 works just like < above.

400-600 in listings will search for listing for sale between $400,000 and $600,000. This is equavalent to 400000-600000 or even $400,000-$600,0000 but is designed to reduce keystrokes.

Some times you may need to either override the default search behaviour or you need to search on something very specific. Below is a table of codes that can be used to make your search more specific. For example:

• e:bigpong.com will find all people whos email contains the string bigpond.com.
• m:765 will find all owners or contacts whos mobile number contains the number 765 anywhere within their number. Useful for unreadable message passed on postit notes :)
• bd:4 search for all 4 bedroom listings.
